Server

Server Control Panel Home Page

The SCP homepage lists your servers and displays information about their current status.

After successful login in, SCP welcomes you to the home page. Here your servers are listed, including information on their current state. At the top of the screen, you will find a bar with the netcup and SCP logos on the far left. Clicking either logo will take you back to the home page from any page.

You can select a server by clicking on its name in the server list.

In the top bar, the following buttons are displayed to the right of the two logos:

Servers

The Servers menu item takes you back to the home page.

Account

The Account menu item takes you to the user-specific settings for your SCP access. Here, you can change your password, select the SCP language, enable web services, and view logs.

Settings

Under Settings, you can view the account data and account settings saved for your account.

Account Data

Under Account Data, you can see an overview of your saved account details and change your SCP password. This information comes from the Customer Control Panel (CCP) and cannot be modified here.

Changing Password

Under Account Data, you can change your SCP password. We recommend replacing the initial password with a custom one after your first login and not using the password you initially received via email for an extended period.

Click Change Password to change your password, and re-enter your current login credentials. Then enter your new password in the fields provided. Ideally, use a long, unique passphrase that includes both special characters and numbers to maximize security.

Once all fields have been filled in correctly, confirm the change by clicking Submit. Optionally, you can check the box Sign out from other devices.

Account Settings

Under Account Settings, you can see the settings saved for your account. Here, you can change the SCP language and enable web services.

Language

SCP supports both English and German. You can select your preferred language here.

Easy Password Mode

If you enable this option, you will no longer be prompted for your password during certain operations, such as installing an image. This makes the process more convenient, but it reduces security.

If the Easy Password Mode option is not enabled, you must confirm any changes using your current SCP password.

Secure Access Mode

Enable this option to prevent direct login to the SCP. Going forward, you will always need to log in to the SCP using the CCPs auto-login feature, which enhances security through two-factor authentication. Enabling this option automatically activates the Easy Password Mode option, as the SCP password will no longer be requested.

Logs

Under Logs, you can see a list of various log types along with their respective data and messages.

SSH Keys

Under SSH Keys, you can create, open, and delete SSH keys. These keys can be selected during server setup using an official netcup image and installed on the server as part of the installation process.

Firewall Policies

Under Firewall Policies, you can create, edit, and delete SSH Firewall Policies.

API

You can make programmatic changes using the REST API in the Server Control Panel (SCP). The available endpoints and instructions for authentication can be found directly in the SCP.

REST API Settings

Under REST API Settings, you can enter and save IP Filters under REST API Security.

REST API Docs

Under REST API Docs, you can find instructions on how to authenticate under Authentication.

Alternatively, you can also open it via the following link: REST API Documentation

Logout

If you click the Logout button in the upper-right corner, you will end your current session and return to the login screen.
