Using SOGo With iOS Devices

Learn how to connect your SOGo instance to your iOS device to access emails, calendars, and address books directly.

Note that these instructions may not exactly replicate the process on your device, as iOS devices may differ depending on the version.

1. Setting Up Email

Open the Customer Control Panel (CCP)

  1. Open the details of your SOGo instance in the Customer Control Panel (CCP).
  2. Select the Mailboxes tab.
  3. Select the email address you want to set up and click on the key icon.
  4. A window will open with the access data you need for the setup.

Open Settings

  1. Open the Settings on your iOS device.
  2. Select the menu item Apps.
  3. Go to Mail.
  4. Go to Accounts.
  5. Select Add Account.
  6. Select Other.
  7. Tap Add Mail Account.

Enter Data

  1. Enter your name. This will be displayed when you send emails to other people.
  2. Enter your email address and your password.
  3. Add a description (optional).
  4. Tap Next.
Enter data.

Connect

  1. Select IMAP.
  2. Enter your data for name, email, and description again.
  3. Enter the information listed under IMAP Server in the access data in the CCP in the Host Name field under Incoming Mail Server.
  4. Enter your username (= Email address).
  5. Enter your password.
  6. Enter the information listed under SMTP Server in the access data in the CCP in the Host Name field under Outgoing Mail Server.
  7. Enter your username (= Email address).
  8. Enter your password.
Connection data

9. Tap Next.

10. Select Save.

11. The setup is complete.

2. Setting Up Calendar

Open Settings

  1. Open the Settings on your iOS device.
  2. Select the menu item Apps.
  3. Go to Calendar.
  4. Go to Accounts.
  5. Select Add Account.
  6. Select Other.
  7. Tap Add CalDAV Account.

Enter Data

  1. Enter your URL without “https://” in the Server field: yoururl-tld.netcup-mail.de.
  2. Enter your username (= Email address).
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Add a description for your account.
  5. Tap Next and then Save.
  6. The setup is complete.

3. Setting Up Contacts

Open Settings

  1. Open the Settings on your iOS device.
  2. Select the menu item Apps.
  3. Go to Contacts.
  4. Select Add Account.
  5. Select Other.
  6. Tap Add CardDAV Account.

Enter Data

  1. Enter your URL without “https://” in the Server field: yoururl-tld.netcup-mail.de.
  2. Enter your username (= Email address).
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Add a description for your account.
  5. Tap Next and then Save.
  6. The setup is complete.

Success

You have successfully connected your SOGo account to your iOS device. You now have direct access to all SOGo functions, including webmail, calendars, and address books.
