Domain

CloudDNS

Find out how the transition to CloudDNS has changed things.

1. What Has Changed?

As part of a technical update to our domain infrastructure, we are gradually transitioning new registrations to CloudDNS.

This change does not affect existing domains for the time being. We are currently developing a migration plan for existing domains, which will be gradually transitioned to the new system.

2. What Are the Advantages of the Change?

Greater Stability

DNSSEC and the nameserver infrastructure have undergone technical revisions and optimizations. This makes DNS management more reliable and robust.

Greater Security and Speed

The modern CloudDNS infrastructure ensures the secure processing of DNS queries and fast delivery worldwide.

Scalability

CloudDNS offers a powerful, future-proof infrastructure that flexibly scales with growing requirements.

3. What Does This Mean for You?

The change has resulted in a redesign of the Customer Control Panel (CCP) interface. For newly registered domains with CloudDNS, you will find the following changes:

New Menu Item: Nameserver Sets

In the Customer Control Panel (CCP), you will now find the additional menu item Nameserver Sets, where you can centrally manage your name server configurations.

Nameservers are now managed via presets:

  • Nameservers are saved as a set.
  • Once you have created a set, you can assign it to multiple domains.

Separate Tab for DNSSEC

You can now find the DNSSEC settings in a separate tab called DNSSEC instead of under DNS as before.

Renaming the DNS Tab to CloudDNS

The previous DNS tab has been renamed to CloudDNS. In this area, you can manage and customize your domain settings for the CloudDNS zone.

Please note that incorrect settings may result in your domain becoming inaccessible.
