Backup Manager
Learn how to activate the Backup Manager for your reseller web hosting.
Starting with the Web Hosting 4000 plan, a backup manager is available to you.
With the backup manager, you can create a backup of your entire reseller hosting, including all subscriptions.
1. Defining Remote Storage
First, define a remote storage location using FTP(S) where your backups can be stored.
- Go to the Tools & Utilities menu item.
- Open the Backup Manager.
- Click on Remote Storage Settings > FTP(S).
- Enter your FTP server details and confirm with OK.
2. Creating a One-Time Backup
- Open the Backup Manager under Tools & Utilities.
- In the Backup Manager, click on Back Up.
- Select the content you want to back up.
- Under Type, select whether you want to perform a full backup or an incremental backup. With an incremental backup, only data that has changed since the last backup is backed up.
- Click on OK.
- The backup will then appear in the overview. Click on the Arrow Icon to download the file.
3. Setting Up Recurring Backups
- In Backup Manager, click Schedule.
- Select the checkbox next to Activate this backup task.
- Select a time.
- Select the checkbox next to Use incremental backup if you only want to back up data that has changed since the last backup.
- Select how often you want a full backup to be performed.
- Select which files you want to back up.
- Click Save to apply your settings.
- Click Apply to start your scheduled backup.
4. Restoring Backups
The Backup Manager also allows you to restore a backup. If your customers have subscribed to the corresponding service plan, they can also restore backups created by you as a reseller themselves.
You can also perform a restore via the Reseller Backup Manager by clicking on the desired backup.
