Rules & netiquette for netcup Messenger channels

We are very pleased about the lively interest in our messenger channels and the exchange that takes place there. The community is growing and we would therefore like to provide a few tips and rules for using the channels. The aim is to ensure that the channels and the associated chats are places where users enjoy exchanging information.

The following information and regulations are valid with immediate effect and refer to the channels "netcup (international)" and "netcup DE" and the associated chats "netcup (international) Chat" and "netcup DE Chat".

1. Purpose of the messenger channels and permitted content

 

1.1 The channels are used for communication among users, in particular regarding products and promotions.


1.2 Information about deals and flash deals is posted, which is published directly by netcup. 


1.3 Other news about netcup (e.g., polls, information about the forum, etc.) will be posted, which will be published directly by netcup.  


1.4 Constructive, factually formulated feedback from the community is welcome in the channel. 


1.5 Users are welcome to exchange information with each other on technical questions about products, promotions, and related topics.

 

 

 

2. The channels are not a substitute for support

2.1 If you have any questions about products, problems, or other related issues, our support team is the right point of contact. Support requests will not be answered, processed, or forwarded in the channels. 3. Protection of personal data & security  

 

3.1 We ask that you handle data such as real names, server IPs, access data, and logs with care. 


3.2 We also recommend that you do not post any personal data, invoice numbers, or other personal or account-related data in this public chat.


3.3 We would also like to point out that admins will never ask for passwords or access data.

 

 

 

4. What content is not allowed to be distributed?

 

4.1 It is not permitted to store, publish, and/or transmit data, texts, images, files, links, software, or other content that, according to the relevant legal provisions or in the opinion of netcup GmbH, is illegal, harmful to third parties, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or offensive, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist, or otherwise objectionable.


4.2 Other (web) hosting providers may not be mentioned by name, and links to such providers are also not permitted. 


4.3 Viruses, Trojans, or other harmful files may not be distributed under any circumstances. 


4.4 The publication of names of netcup GmbH employees in text form or by transmitting a screenshot is strictly prohibited.


4.5 In addition, content that is not related to netcup or the use of netcup products is unwanted.

 

 

 

5. Regulations for coupon codes  

 

5.1 Posting coupon codes from the partner program is generally tolerated until further notice. However, the distribution of these and other coupon codes is limited to a maximum of one post and one code per user per month. All posts of this type that exceed the specified number will be deleted by the administrators. In the event of repeated violations of this rule, we reserve the right to permanently block the posters.

 

 

 

6. Manners & “Netiquette”

 

6.1 A fair, objective tone among each other and towards employees of netcup GmbH is required.


6.2 We do not tolerate insults or personal attacks against employees or other users of the channels. 


6.3 Racism, sexism, queerphobia, and other hostile content and statements will not be tolerated.


6.4 The dissemination of political or ideological statements and content that violate applicable law is prohibited.


6.5 We reserve the right to delete content that does not comply with these guidelines.

 

 

 

7. Consequences of violations and infringements

 

7.1 In the event of violations and infringements of one or more of the above points, we reserve the right to warn and/or block users.  Admins are not obliged to provide an explanation for this. We also reserve the right to delete posts without comment or notice. 


7.2 In the event of a warning, the user concerned will be informed accordingly in the response to the comment/content in question. 


7.3 In the event of serious or repeated violations, the user concerned may be removed from the channels without warning.

 

 

 

8. Liability

 

8.1 netcup GmbH cannot review content in advance, unless it is content created by netcup GmbH itself. netcup GmbH does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content provided by members on the channels.


8.2 Claims for damages against netcup GmbH are excluded regardless of the legal basis, unless netcup GmbH, its legal representatives, or vicarious agents have intentionally or grossly negligently violated an essential contractual obligation.


8.3 netcup GmbH will delete posts that violate criminal and press law provisions of the Federal Republic of Germany or public decency, provided that netcup GmbH becomes aware of this. This includes illegal purposes as well as obscene and harassing behavior or links to such unacceptable content. netcup GmbH does not support the encouragement or incitement of criminal offenses under any circumstances.

 

 

 

9. Final provisions

 

9.1. The use of the services is governed by German law.


9.2. Should individual provisions of these Terms of Use be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
